Brazil Celebrates 11 Nissan

Chabad of Brazil held an event in honor of the 110th birthday of the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson.

The hall of Beit Lubavitch of Rio de Janeiro was full for the dinner event that was attended by community leaders and many community members.

Rabbi Yehoshua Goldman, general director of the Lubavitch institutions in Rio de Janeiro opened the event, and introduced speakers Luiz Fux – Supreme Court Minister, Honorary Consul of Israel Osias Wurman, and Jewish Philanthropist Mr. Israel Klabin. Each told personal stories with the Rebbe and related how the Rebbe has transformed the lives.

The guest speaker was the Shliach from Sao Paulo Rabbi Dovid Weitman, chief Rabbi of the Sefardi Community ”Beit Jacob Safra” who inspired the crowd with his words.
