A group of young children were headed to school in Crown Heights on Monday morning when their scooters were stolen in broad daylight.
The boys, who travel by scooter to school, stopped at Kahan’s Grocery and left their scooters near the front of the store as they shopped for snacks.
While the boys who owned the scooters were inside, three individuals ran off with three of their scooters, surveillance footage shows.
Shmira was called, however they were not able to catch the thieves.
The parents of the boys whose scooters were stolen are asking for the public’s help in identifying the thieves.

who’s educating these kids?
i see, i want, i take
and then they’ll tell you it really belonged to them for a whole bunch of reasons
The city is educating these kids.
And they would like to teach the same to our kids as well.
Because of racial equity or something…
This is just 😡
I just spoke to my black neighbor whose daughter is a teacher.
The city recently forbade the teachers from telling kids to stop bad behavior.
So expect this problem to get a lot worse
I can’t believe that. Maybe she meant corporal punishment- meaning physically punishing a student, is against the law; I can’t imagine that a teacher isn’t permitted to tell a student that his/her bad behavior is going to land them in the principal’s office, or some such remark. Check that out.
Can anyone name the general theme of each of these crime stories in CH?
Children need to be taught (that they live in a jungle) they can’t leave their things unlocked ANYWHERE out of their site or hands. I witnessed a scooter parked against a tree across from the Lubavitcher Yeshivah , when a Porto ricin woman walked by and decided to take it. I stopped her by saying it was mine, and saved it. I was going to take it into my house for safety, leaving a. It’s with my number stuck onto the tree. As I walked with it a boy of around 11 came up to me telling me it was… Read more »
All the Liberals should think.
When a person (young or old) commits a crime, they want to do more crime.
Then they become slaves to crime & might live a life of crime, & be killed.
The 7 Noahide Laws is our hope.
Assume masked ppl are trouble
I walked by kahans today and saw a few scooters there this morning.dont make it accessible for them to take.they will come back and take more
If it’s a group of kids going into the store, 1 kid should stay outside watching the scooters or bikes
Are our boys being taught by THEIR parents that riding scooters on sidewalks is problematic?
The same little tykes who ride a slow scooter go on to think they can ride electric ones later…
I was taught that the life of your fellow comes before your joy ride.
Where should they ride
No, riding scooters on the sidewalk isn’t the underlying problem, though it’s certainly a big problem. The underlying problem is a lot simpler: Some kids aren’t taught that you don’t take what doesn’t belong to you. It that simple.
These scooters are dangerous and nne to be banned. Kids (and adults too) ride them on the sidewalk at full speed, endangering pedestrians. Running into an elderly person with one of these can cause serious injury r”l. The rider himself is in danger when riding downhill at top speed on Albany and unable to stop in time before running into the traffic on Empire. I see this every morning. Also the bicycles and delivery motorcycles need to be kept off the sidewalks.
I get your point for motorcycles, and adults on scooters and bikes, but where are kids meant to ride them?
Also, you see ppl getting hit every morning? 😳
Tape an AirTag to the scooter in an inconspicuous spot. You may be able to track it.
This presents a dilemma. The kids want to stop to shop, and the stores don’t let the kids bring the scooters inside – which makes sense. Two kids could decide, I’ll get the nosh, and you watch the scooters. But they can’t be left unattended. And they can’t be brought into the stores.
Btw: Scooters, PLEASE be considerate of people walking on sidewalks!
If these boys walked in Kahans, they should have been watched… however, yeah, you need to lock up or have 1 boy be on the watch!
And the city would like us to believe that it’s the yeshiva education that’s a problem.
Hmmm…
Me think not….
You could literally see the two sides of good and evil.

I have almost been run over by our sweet boys. They need to be taught about awareness of pedestrians.
