The second grade children of Oholei Torah were rewarded Sunday with a personalized tour of the Hatzalah ambulance by Hatzalah member T. H. Spielman.
The tour was a prize for memorizing Tanya Baal Peh in memory of the Shliach Levi Deitsch, obm. The boys had taken upon themselves to learn Tanya by heart until Rosh Chodesh Nissan, and some of the kids have memorized over 70 lines in the short time.
The project was initiated by a father of one of the students, joined by Rabbi Meir Shimshoni, principal, and the teachers, who imbued chayus into the boys to learn perek Alef and perek Lamed Beis.
The children will also be going on a grand trip, to be announced sometime next week.

how nice it is to teach our children how important it is to have our own private ambulance that can save lives so quickly. i hope that it was also explained to the children that these ambulances were donated by kind and caring people of the neighborhood who gave generously because they care about our community and helping another fellow neighbor.
