Last Sunday, 2 classes of Pre-1A in Yeshivah Tomchei Temimim Lubavitch of Montreal celebrated their annual Chumash Party.
Parents and grandparents were in attendance for the program, planned by their teachers Rabbi Yosie Wilansky, Morah Raitzel Wenger, Morah Raizy Shteifel, Morah Chana Delouya and Morah Shternie Berkowitz.
The boys began by saying the first Pesukim of Chumash Vayikro, as mentioned in the Midrash, “let the pure (children) come and occupy themselves with purity (korbonos in Vayikro).” They continued learning from Chumash Bereishis.
The students performed some beautiful songs, and were then presented with their own mini-set of the Five Chumashim, generously donated by Bubby and Zaidy Gniwisch.
The boys and their families were than treated to a delicious cake sponsored by one of the parents.
“We wish the parents Nachas from their Kinderlach and siblings now and throughout their lives,” remarked their proud teacher. “We hope that it was an event the children will always remember and cherish.”
