This past Tuesday, bochurim from 8th grade of Oholei Torah visited Tenafly, NJ for an interesting question and answer workshop about all topics of Yiddishkeit and Mivztoim with the Shliach, Rabbi Mordechai Shain, himself an alumni of Oholei Torah.
The Bochurim submitted questions in advance which were typed in a booklet where the Bochurim were able to take notes and write down the answers.
They also had a tour of the beautiful Beis Chabad and enjoyed snacks and Tofutti ice cream.
One of the students told Rabbi Shain, “we always hear about shluchim and are taught to become a shliach of the Rebbe, but seeing how a Chabad House runs, and how to interact with a community, makes it something real and exciting!”
This is the second such program of visiting and learning how Chabad houses work, previously they visited with Rabbi Sholom Moshe Paltiel of Chabad of Port Washington, LI.
OTEG (Oholei Torah Eight Grade), led by Rabbi Yossi Bryski, is a project co-sponsored by Oholei Torah and parents of the 8th Grade.
