Students of Pre-1A, 1st and 2nd grades of Oholei Torah School in Crown Heights were joined by their fathers for their annual Melavah Malka on motzei Shabbos.
Close to 1,000 participants from 17 classes of young students, along with their fathers and grandfathers, packed into the school’s grand ballroom for the event.
Beautifully decorated, the room took on a festive atmosphere as the boys and fathers were greeted by their teachers.
The Melavah Malka bagen with a learning session, then continued with the 12 psukim. Fitche Benshimon and Eli Marcus entertained the event with Chassidic nigunim as the participants enjoyed a fleishig seudas Melavah Malka.
The PTA co-sponsored the event and the entertainment. Many local stores and vendors sponsored prize that were raffled off during the evening.
The event was MC’d and coordinated by Rabbi Meir Shimshoni, principal, with the help of Rabbi Moshe Pape, assistant.
