A Crown Heights resident is holding on to the bicycle of a young Lubavitch boy, and is seeking its owner.
At around 5:30 pm Thursday, the woman who lives on Union Street near Brooklyn Avenue, says two women knocked on her door, relating that they saw a “young Chasidic child was hit by a car and got knocked off his bike.”
“The boy was crying and the bicycle’s front wheel got smashed,” they said.
The women said the boy had gotten up quickly and ran off, leaving the bike behind.
The women retrieved the bike and knocked on the door of the nearest home, and handed it over to her.
If you know whose bike this is, please email [email protected] for contact information on claiming it.
Thank you for posting. My son was crossing as a car was turning, he is BH scared but safe! Got there right away and no driver and no bike. I’m amazed that someone is holding the bike, thanks!!
If the boy ran off, it seems he was not badly injured.
Also he might have not been paying attention and might have ridden right in front of the driver who then might not have had time to stop.
So after he ran away, why should the driver be charged with any crime?
I quess this gives a new meaning to hit and run.
Hope the boy is ok.
BS”D BH he’s ok
The boy may be hurt. And the driver should be charged for hit and run.
