Heichel Menachem Center in Borough Park, Brooklyn, New York, which offers classes, events, and publications to make the teachings of Chassidus available to all, has announced the construction of a magnificent new center in memory of Rabbi Yoel Kahn obm.
Established in 1994 to spread the teachings of Chassidus, Heichal Menachem, led by Rabbi Leibel Altein and Rabbi Yisroel Stern, utilizes a wide range of traditional media and state-of-the-art technology to teach Chassidus to everyone, in a variety of languages.
Heichal Menachem has announced that a new Chassidus Center will be built in the near future in the heart of Boro Park, and will be named Beis Reb Yoel in memory of Rabbi Yoel Kahn, who passed away recently.
Rabbi Yoel Kahn, the “Choizer” of the Rebbe’s talks and the preeminent scholar of Chassidus in this generation, was heavily invested in the Hafatza of Chassidus to the frum Jews who lived in the surrounding New York neighborhoods.
Throughout the years, Reb Yoel taught over 2,000 shiurei chassidus in Heichal Menachem, bringing thousands of Yidden closer to the Rebbe’s derech and exposing them to the Rebbe’s perspective.
The new center will contain 800 square feet of classrooms and media rooms and 1,700 square feet of Library and learning centers, the organization said.
“Beis R’ Yoel will continue Reb Yoel’s life mission,” offering an even larger space to accommodate the programs and events which will impact thousands in the teachings of Chassidus, the organization said.
