Bonei Olam Chabad is hosting a series of events this coming week as a kick-off for their upcoming Charidy campaign.
Their first event, held at the Jewish Children’s Museum in January 2020, led to a beautiful outpouring of support… with lines out the door and down Kingston Avenue.
The heartbreaking struggle of infertility is not something we often speak about in public. However, statistics show that most everyone in our community has been touched by this struggle by only one degree of separation. That means that everyone knows someone — a family member, a neighbor, a classmate — who is suffering.
When we support Bonei Olam events… by attending in person, by giving generously, and preferably both… it is a direct message to couples waiting for their miracle. It tells them, “I’m with you. I care. I won’t stop until you are holding your very own baby in your arms.”
Of course, there are many events this summer, all for worthy causes. But please, I am asking on behalf of desperate couples who are turning to Bonei Olam for help and support… Please take the time to actually come out to a Bonei Olam event near you.
Call a friend and take her along. Encourage your husbands, brothers, and fathers to show up as well. Help Bonei Olam Chabad couples SEE and FEEL the love in your heart.
For the 63 Chabad couples who were helped this year, and the 40 Chabad couples currently waiting for help, it literally means the world.
