Members of the Jewish and Israeli institutions in New York have received Shmurah Matzoh for their Pesach Seder by Chabad.
The organizations include the Jewish Federation of North America, Israeli Consulate, UJA -Federation of New York, Israel Bonds and the Israel Mission to the United Nations.
“This is part of the Rebbe’s activities of helping Jews with receiving Shmurah Matzah,” said Rabbi Shmuel Butman, Director of Lubavitch Youth Organization – Tzeirei Agudas Chabad Hamerkozis.
“It has become a tradition that we very much appreciate and we thank Chabad for being there for us,” said Ambassador Dani Dayan, the Consul General of Israel in New York.
Ambassador Dayan recalled how the first time he came to the United States, he went to Lubavitch Headquarters at 770 Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn. “I had the great privilege to pray Mincha in the Minyan of the Rebbe,” he recalled.
Dayan proudly noted that he was in Almaty, Kazakhstan, where he visited the gravesite of the Rebbe’s father, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson OBM.
Eric Goldstein, CEO of the UJA Federation of New York, praised “the great contribution Chabad Lubavitch does to keep up Judaism all over the world.” He thanked Rabbi Butman for bringing Shmurah Matzoh to employees of the UJA.
Israel Maimon, the new president and CEO of Israel Bonds and former Israeli government secretary, knew about the Chabad activities from his previous experiences. He was very grateful that Chabad brings Matzah to all Israel Bonds employees.
Maimon asked Rabbi Butman to deliver a Pesach message to the executives and employees of Israel Bonds. That message was simultaneously broadcasted to many Israel Bonds offices.
Gerald Silverman, President and CEO of the United Jewish Federations of North America, said that from his experience of traveling during the course of his work he sees, first hand, the activities of Chabad Lubavitch.
He was, indeed, very pleased to see that Shmurah Matzoh was brought to all the executives and employees of the United Jewish Federations of North America.
