Due to COVID, Toronto has been under one of the longest and strictest lockdowns in North America, so the bachurim in Toronto Zal and Mesivta, of their own initiative, decided to make this Lag BaOmer a joyous and memorable one for the community.
The Bachurim spent days and sleepless nights making the floats for the parade.
Shmuli Wudowsky directed the project from start to finish, including figuring out the trucks, the money, the logistics, the police, and much more.
Special thank you to Mendle Moully, Dovid Hegege, Menachem Drukier, Motty Gorman, Naftali Junik, Sholom Rappaport and many others who worked day and night to make this project a reality.
The car parade drove through the streets of Toronto, cheering residents who have been under lockdown for many months.
Each float represented a different Mivtza of the Rebbe, one was Shabbos, another was Teffilin, Moshiach, Kashrus and Chinuch.

Totally beautiful!! The achdus and teamwork displayed by the bochurim of Mesivta and Zal is exemplary!! And what a stunning kiddush Hashem and kiddush Lubavich they made and brought such great simcha to the entire community!! The Yeshiva is a huge gem in Toronto’s midst! A true nachas to the Rebbe!

Being from Toronto, seeing these exhibits coming down the street, it was a very joyful sight to behold. Just thinking about the many hours these boys out it in, ripping away from their holy books, It must be very hard for them, especially doing it while keeping up with a yeshivas gruesome schedule. Why are they doing this? only to share many positive jewish messages, to their jewish neighbors, lighting up the city, gaining nothing for themselves.
