A successful blood drive took place Thursday at Lubavitch Yeshiva in Crown Heights.
Dozens of Crown Heights residents selflessly turned out to donate blood to help others.
Many of the blood donors were bochurim students of Oholei Torah Zal in Crown Heights, who could be seen learning while waiting for their turn.
The blood drive is one of many coordinated by the Ahavas Chesed Organization, directed by Rabbi Avrohom Lider.
“We are so grateful to the Crown Heights community at large for coming out in support, and especially to the bochurim of Oholei Torah Zal,” Rabbi Lider said.
Did you know giving blood is very bveneficial to the health. It makes
new blood which thins the blood and makes it less sticky and helps towards
preventing negative health consequences. There is more benefit than just
the mitzvah apparently.
It’s such an incredible Mitzvah! So nice to see the community coming out for such important things. Tizku L’Mitzvos and may everyone have gezunt always!
