There are a great many schools in Crown Heights. Why does the community need another one?
We envisioned a Mesivta where every bochur actually wants to be there, where the bochurim really understand what they are learning and really enjoying it, where there is no “box” that the bochurim are forced to fit into, and they aren’t given a “knas” or some other form of “punishment” for being human and making mistakes.
That’s why 12 years ago we opened HaMesivta – United Lubavitcher Yeshiva of Ocean Parkway. Our core belief is that every bochur wants to do well and excel and given the opportunity he will indeed do well.
At HaMesivta we created the revolutionary gemara academy program where the bochurim get a clear visual of every piece of gemara, and then learn to master reading every piece inside, we then have a system where they review and retain close to 20 pages of gemara a year, our alumni have grown to become shluchim, rabeeim, and honest frum businessman with a real love for torah.
We also understand that every child is different, there is no one size fits all box that everyone must fit into, and when a bochur does make a mistake (like we all do) there is real education – the way education was supposed to be… we are there to first understand the student and then we mentor, coach, guide, and inspire.
Our one goal is to give the bochurim a geshmak for torah and mitzvos, and every decision we make at HaMesivta is based around that one goal. We want yeshiva to be an enjoyable place where they can learn, grow and look at torah and mitzvos and say that torah and mitzvos is enjoyable.
We also have a fully accredited general studies program where the bochurim get a regents diploma after finishing high school.
Rabbi Moshe Lieblich is the Menahel and Mashpia, Rabbi Dovid Zirkind serves as the full time Mashpia Rabbi Avrohom Stroh teaches the first level of Gemara and Rabbi Motti Perlov teaches the second level of Gemara.

This is wonderful and amazing!! But what about our girls? Can we have a school like this for them as well? It sounds like a very good caring program with good Torah education!!
This is the best school out there! Loving and warm staff, a full and enriching curriculum, extra curricular subjects – a beautiful environment to give boys the foundation to truly thrive in life.
As a previous student of Hamesivta I can attest to everything Rabbi Lieblich has said above. The school truly cares about each and every bochur.
Thy care about every student. Students are not a number but a neshama that is cared for
