Two bochurim from Yeshivas Lubavitch in Toronto, Mendel Spielman and shliach Levi Rosenfeld, received permission to go on Mivtzoim during their break on Thursday.
They made their way to the Rogers Centre where a baseball game was being held between the home team of Blue Jays and the Kansas City Royals. The Toronto team had not been doing well lately and had they lost the playoff, their season would have been over.
Standing outside the arena, the bochurim used the heightened interest encouraged Jewish men to put on Tefillin and say a prayer, insisting that this would draw Hashem’s blessings and help their team win.
During the time that the bochurim were able to spend outside of the arena, they managed to engage 7 Jews to don Tefillin.

go Levi rosenfeld!
Put Tefillin on The Bluejays Center fielder Kevin Pillar he is Jewish on his Mother’s Side!
Go Mendel your the best.

Great job! Keep up the great work!
Let’s do lots of mivtzoim at Citi field for the World Series.
This is Lots of fun.
Before the last siyum hashes, a rov said it is very appropriate that the siyum will be taking place at Metlife stadium home to the New York Giants. The Giants just won the super bowl against the Patriots, and in the stadium it said ‘World Champions”. He said: whoever makes a siyum on Gemora is a world Champion.
The Giants won that super bowl 21-17.
How many pages are in the Gemora?

Good for Toronto! If they can get a team like the blue jays to score a win, it must really be a smashing yeshiva!

Keep it up boys. You’re doing good work. Proud of you Levi.
They should travel with the Jays to Kanas City to put on tefilin with people Friday afternoon before game 6. Of course no tefilin on Motsai before game 7, but maybe they can give tzedaka with people. Just make sure not to put on with KC fans.
