In a stunning display of creativity and drive, the dedicated staff of Camp Ohr Menachem accomplished what most would call impossible: in just a day or two, they wrote, directed, and filmed a full movie—Connected Through Song, a heartfelt story about a Sephardic family facing the trials and tribulations of the Holocaust.
With no budget and only a few days left of camp to film, they put together and enlisted the help of a professional film crew and turned the Cote St. Luc neighborhood into a full-scale film set—improvising scenes, crafting props from scratch, and piecing together costumes on the fly. Now after months of editing, the film is finally ready. The result? A raw, emotional, and surprisingly polished production that had its first audience laughing, crying, and deeply moved.
Despite the rush, Connected Through Song delivers powerful storytelling and a meaningful message. The short-film is now available to stream on YouTube—free for all to enjoy.
