A record 2,500 Bochurim from 36 Chabad Yeshivos worldwide participated in the annual ‘Hour with the Rebbe’ program in 770 on Wednesday, Yud Shevat.
One of the highlight programs of the Bochorim’s visit to Crown Heights for Yud Shvat is the annual ‘Hour with the Rebbe’.
The bochurim gather for an hour-long video of the Rebbe. The video includes a collection of Sichos and Niggunim connected to Yud Shevat, Hiskashrus, and the Rebbe’s 120th upcoming birthday.
Participating Yeshivos included: Achei Temimim (Chovevei), Antwerp, Arizona, Baltimore, Beis Shneur, Chicago, Chovevei Mesivta & Zal, Cincinnati, Coral Springs, Darchei Menachem Mesivta, HaMesivta, Los Angeles Mesivta & Zal, Machon Aharon, Mesivta Ohr Temimim, Miami Mesivta & Zal, Miami Torah Ohr, Monsey Mesivta, Montreal Zal, Morristown, New Haven Mesivta, Nyack, Ohelei Torah Mesivta & Zal, Poconos, Queens, Toronto Mesivta and Zal and Westchester.
As well as the 8th Grades from Ohelei Torah, Monsey and Lubavitcher Yeshivah.
Like in past years, due to the large amount of Bochurim attending, extra bleachers and video screens were rented, to accommodate everyone.
“Years ago, when everyone came in for Yud Shevat, the highlight was always the Rebbe’s Farbrengen,” said Mordechai Rosenzweig, one of the event organizers. “This is the 9th consecutive year that we are organizing this program. The idea is to give every bocher the feeling of being at the Rebbe’s Farbrengen regardless if this bocher is fluent or ignorant in Yiddish,” he said.
The event was streamed live on COLlive.com, for Chasidim worldwide and those unable to attend.
The organizers hope that we will indeed merit to a Farbrengen with the Rebbe Kipshuto, with the coming of Moshiach, now.
The event was organized by a team led by Zalman Hertz, Meir Lazeroff, Mendel Malek, Mordechai Rosenzweig, Shaye Wolfson, Mendel Zikvashvili, Mendel Keller and Sholom Traurig.
Organizers have launched a campaign to help fund the program. Participate today at http://www.yudshevat5782.com/
