Photos were not taken on Shabbos
Hundreds of Bochurim spent an inspiring and uplifting Shabbos Achdus in Morristown, NJ, for a special Shabbos Hachana in preparation for the upcoming 30th anniversary of Gimmel Tammuz.
The bochurim united for joint Tefillos, learning, and lively Farbrengens in the spirit of Sheves Achim Gam Yochad and were uplifted and energized as they prepare for Gimmel Tammuz..
Together with the guest Mashpia, Rabbi Yosef Chaim Kantor of Thailand, the weekend was joined by Bochurim learning in Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Morristown, Beis Medrash Oholei Torah, Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Nyack, Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Baltimore, and Yeshivas Beis Dovid Shlomo New Haven.
After arriving at the beautiful Yeshiva campus in Morristown on Friday afternoon, the program began with a video of the Rebbe, followed by Rabbi Chaim Schapiro (Morristown) addressing the theme of the Shabbos, as a Hachana for Gimmel Tammuz.
At the Friday night meal, Rabbi Chaim Schapiro served as the MC< followed by Rabbi Bistritzky (New Haven), guest speaker Rabbi Yosef Chaim Kantor (Shliach to Thailand), and representative of the Bochurim Leibel Druk (Baltimore).
Farbrengens went throughout the night led by Rabbi Levi Matusof (Oholei Torah), Rabbi Chazan (Nyack), Rabbi Levi Telsner (Nyack) Rabbi Chaim Schapiro (Morristown), Rabbi Leima Wilhelm (Morristown), Rabbi Bistritsky (New Haven), Rabbi Teitelbaum (Oholei Torah), and Rabbi Einstein (New Haven).
Chassidus Shiurim in the morning were led by Rabbi Efraim Piekarski (Morristown) and Rabbi Hertzel Pewsner (Morristown).
A Dvar Torah was shared after Kerias Hatorah by Rabbi Chazan (Nyack).
Speakers at the Shabbos meal included Rabbi Einstein (New Haven), Rabbi Levi Matusof (Oholei Torah).
The central farbrengen was led by guest speaker Rabbi Yosef Chaim Kantor (Shliach to Thailand), with many Mashpiim joining.
A Seder Niggunim was held led by the Mashpiim, and Bochur Leibel Kaplan (Morristown) Chazered a Maamar.
The inspiring Shabbos achdus concluded with a grand Melava Malka.
The program opened with words from Rabbi Moshe Herson, head Shliach to the state of New Jersey and board member of Agudas Chasidei Chabad, who graciously hosted the Shabbos on the Rabbinical College of America campus in Morristown. He shared memories of the Rebbe and words of inspiration ahead of Gimmel Tammuz – 30 years.
Rabbi Sholom Spalter (Morristown) addressed the theme of the Melave Malkah – “Ben Shloshim L’Koach”.
A special video of the Rebbe was premiered, featuring select curated highlights of special moments with the Rebbe throughout all the years.
Panel “שו״ת בעניני התקשרות” (Q&A regarding Hiskashrus) followed. Four panelists Rabbi Hertzel Pewsner (Morristown), Rabbi Bistritzky (New Haven), Rabbi Yosef Chaim Kantor (guest speaker, Shliach to Thailand), and Rabbi Efraim Piekarski (Morristown) addressed an array of questions that Bochurim submitted covering all aspects of Hiskashrus today.
Rabbi Leima Wilhelm delivered closing remarks at the conclusion of Melaveh Malkah, and gave suggested ideas for Hachlotos Bochurim can take upon themselves until Gimmel Tammuz.
