Following a year of successful programs and Mivztoim activities, the Bochurim of Yeshivas Lubavitch Manchester organized a farewell dinner for all the men of greater Manchester that they visit each week.
Every Friday, groups of bochurim visit residents and business owners in their homes and offices, offering a chance to put on Tefillin and a Torah thought.
Also in attendance were a group of men who joined the bochurim each Thursday evening for a Chavrusa learning program.
The program began with a beautiful reception, where guests had the opportunity to put on Tefilin, say L’chaim and take pictures at a photo booth.
The guest speaker for the evening was Rabbi Dovid Lewis, Rabbi of South Manchester Synagogue in Bowdon. Additional remarks were made by two local businessmen that were impacted by the Bochurim’s visits.
A short video presentation was shown, featuring feedback from the home visitations.
The event ended on a high note, with a spontaneous outbreak of song and dance.

unbelievable! to see how bochrim can make such a nice event! not only are they great with the people: dancing singing and socializing they can make a stunning dinner. i mean look at that soup – looks so fancy!
i think we need to appreciate bochrim more and to allow them to use out their amazing talents.
