Over 200 bochurim gathered in Oholei Torah Zal to learn and pray together in the merit of Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin.
The group learned a Sicha about ahavas yisroel, and recited the Rebbe’s kapitel led by Mashpia Rabbi Pinyeh Korf.
This was followed by giving tzedakah and reciting the Tehillim, divided among participants.
The bochurim then heard some words from Getzy Rubashkin, Sholom Mordechai’s son, who thanked them for attending the event and spoke about emunah and bitachon in G-d.
“In life it may seem that it is we who are ‘driving the car,’ according to our will,” Rubashkin said. “But in reality, our car is connected to the pre-designed track that Hashem created. Ultimately our ‘car’ of life will end up exactly as Hashem planned…all we have to do is have bitachon and Daven.”
At the conclusion of his words, the entire room erupted in joyous and hopeful dancing and singing of “Didan Notzach.”
“The event greatly inspired all of us in attendance,” one of the organizers said. “We hope that this will encourage the public to join us in uniting in Torah, Tefillah and Tzedakah in the zechus of Sholom Mordechai Halevi Ben Rivkah,” he said.
