This year all Chanukah activities in Lyon, France were under the banner of the Hakhel, and were greatly increased with more than 25 public lightings in the region as well as 3500 Menorah kits distributed.
A team of 40 Bochurim from the Yeshiva of Brunoy came to help the shluchim of the Yeshiva of Lyon to light up the whole region, particularly during this holiday period when many Israeli tourists passed through Lyon to go to the ski resorts in the Alps.
They came to enlighten and bring joy to all the small communities of the region such as Vichy (the town where the rebbe and rebbetzin stayed during the war) as well as towns like S. Etienne, Roanne, Valence and Annecy.
