Bnos Menachem School for Girls in Crown Heights concluded their grand raffle benefiting the education of 530 girls in the preschool, elementary and high school.
At noon on Monday, students and teachers gathered in the lunchroom for the drawing of the lucky tickets that were purchased from around the world.
The grand $10,000 prize went to Zalmy Klyne of Los Angeles, CA.
Smaller prizes of $2,000 was won by Heshy Hoffinger of Melbourne, Australia. Phivel Caplan of Crown Heights won $1,000 and Shoshana Abramov of Queens got an iPad 2.
“We would like to thank everyone who participated in this fundraiser, helping us to continue to cultivate each student’s talents and potential,” said Rabbi Shmary Gurary, the Director of Development.
Special thanks was given to Mrs. Detty Leverton and Mrs. Sara Rosenblatt of the school faculty for their dedication making the raffle a success.
