This Wednesday, 4 Nissan/April 2, Bnos Chomesh High School will present “A Matter Of Principal”, a musical production starring the students of Bnos Chomesh.
“This year’s play is particularly exciting for me,” remarked Mrs. Dena Gorkin, principal. “It highlights a typical story of immigrants coming to America in the early 1900’s and rising to the challenge of maintaining their frumkeit when many of their peers did not. In this particular story, the immigrants are my own grandparents.”
The show includes lively dances, meaningful songs and poignant drama, all produced by a hardworking team of Bnos Chomesh staff and students. The message of the importance of clinging to one’s faith even through challenges is as relevant today as it was 100 years ago.
“We are super excited!” says 12th grader Naomi Cohen, who will play the role of her principal’s grandfather. “The girls are working really hard to produce a show that the audience is going to love,” added Mrs. Rivka Arnold, Vice Principal. The entire staff and students can’t wait to perform and show their many talents.
