As the school year resumes, and students return after Tishrei vacation, the girls of Bnos Chomesh Academy in Crown Heights were greeted with bright, beautiful new furniture, lockers, and greenery.
The Bnos Chomesh administration had spent the summer making small upgrades to the school building, when a generous donor stepped in and helped enhance the game plan.
“As we know, a Yid’s gashmiyus is ruchniyus,” they said. “When students have what they need b’gashmius, it enhances their ruchniyus and their entire educational experience.”
Each student at Bnos Chomesh now has a brand new desk, comfortable chair and spacious locker.
“It was such a boost to the students and staff to see that our gracious donor made the school’s physical environment such a priority,” they said.
Further building upgrades, such as a handicap-accessible bathroom, ramp and security improvements are underway as well. The board and administration of Bnos Chomesh are grateful to local askanim and donors who understand the vital role that small, specialized schools like Bnos Chomesh play in the growth of our community.
