Communities wanting to distribute to their congregants the prayer for Birchas Hachama can now do so inexpensively with a free one-page download to print at their own computer.
Rabbi Yisroel Cyprys of Egerton Road Congregation in London, UK, developed a website offering the download and instructions, customs and laws about the once in 28 years Mitzvah.
The one page printable file includes all the following: the Hebrew text and order of the ceremony; the full translation in English; and the first part of English Transliteration (for those wanting to say the Hebrew pronounciation in English format) which includes the introductory Psalm and main blessing on the sun, and the blessing of “Shehecheyanu.”
Rabbi Cyprys notes: One saying the transliteration would not say the first three paragraphs (introductory Psalm and the two blessings) of the translation as well, and the same the other way around, so as not to repeat the same blessings twice.
Mourner’s Kaddish at the end when a Minyan of ten is present. It is the custom of some communities to add to this order.
