A billboard overlooking the Gowanus Expressway in Brooklyn brings the Rebbe’s message to “Welcome Moshiach with more goodness and kindness” to millions of drivers in New York City.
The heavily trafficked Gowanus Expressway is a southern extension of the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway which runs over Third Avenue in Sunset Park and connects the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel approach, Prospect Expressway, the Belt Parkway and the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge.
The sign was organized by the N’shei Chabad Organization.
The sign also includes a number to call to learn more about Moshiach and Geulah, with a message stating that “a better world of peace, joy, good health and abundance is around the corner,” with the coming of Moshiach.
“The Lubavitcher Rebbe said the time of the redemption has arrived, we just have to add acts of goodness and kindness. For Jews, an extra mitzvah for non-Jews to uphold the 7 commandments for bnei Noach,” the message continues.
The sign has brought awareness to many, with the phone number receiving many calls from drivers.
“One non-Jew said, I saw this billboard, I am excited that the Messiah is really coming!” organizers said.

Every Lubavitcher agrees that what comes out of the Rebbe’s holy mouth is 100% true, eternal and directly from the Aibershter. The Rebbe is so butil to Hashem, it’s as if Hashem is speaking through his mouth. I drove past there a few weeks ago and was so proud that there are chassidim who are still living with the bren fun amul. These are the nashim tzidkoniyos. This is the awareness we need to spread to the world!
I wish we could have much more of these plastered everywhere!!

A Bobover chasid comes over to me in shul and says, I love that sign. I ask, what sign? He says the large billboard on the BQE about Moshiach coming etc. You Lubavitchers are great.

The sign is lovely, and gives hope for better times. But, to say that the Moshiach is here already – In the past, we cited world events (e.g. collapse of the Soviet Union, more Russian Jews emigrating to Israel, etc.) as proof that Moshiach is here. This was about 30 years ago. However. today’s world events contradict that ! There are wars going on, disease, crime, etc. Just go into any day habilitation center for disabled and “special” people.
