As if dealing with anti-Semitic attacks wasn’t enough, Brooklyn Jews are being targeted with love – the wrong kind.
Many Jewish home owners in Crown Heights have found envelopes with Christain materials on their doorsteps on Wednesday.
A number of residents have contacted COLlive.com to inform readers that houses with Mezuzahs are being targeted with these messages.
The envelope says, “A message of hope and gladness for Jewish people.”
It contains a video and pamphlet with Christian missionary propaganda.
“Do not open. Do not watch. Do not read.” they warned.

The same material was distributed over the last few weeks in Brighton Beach, Manhattan Beach, Sheepshead Bay, Gravesend, Madison and Midwood, aka Flatbush. May Hashem protect and preserve us.

There are skilled salespeople who can “sell ice to the Eskimos,” etc. We all have our vulnerable moments, r”l, and not all of us can answer missionaries “while standing on one foot,” at all times, no matter what else is going on in our lives. But even if you do not view yourself as “fragile,” the Rebbe, if I remember correctly, advised us not to even put ourselves in a position of discussing their “message,” not because there’s anything fragile (c”v!) in Hashem’s word but because these people know every argument we might… Read more »
