Head Shliach and Berlin Chief Rabbi Yehuda Teichtal met with Israel’s newly appointed Ambassador to Germany, Mr. Ron Prosor, at the Israeli embassy in Berlin on Friday.
Prosor, Israel’s former ambassador to the United Nations and the United Kingdom, was the Head of the Abba Eban Institute for International Diplomacy in IDC Herzliya Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy & Strategy.
During the meeting, the two discussed the development of Jewish life in Berlin, and the incredible work of Chabad across Germany.
They also discussed the new Campus for Jewish Life which is being built in Berlin.
Prosor noted that his moving to Berlin is the closing of a circle for him. His grandparents lived in Berlin, near the Central Chabad Synagogue, he said. “I’m proud to be here today, representing the country of Israel in Germany,” he said.
During the Friday visit, Rabbi Teichtal presented Prosor with 2 homemade Challahs for Shabbos, and said, “It’s an honor and pleasure to welcome the new ambassador to Germany Mr. Ron Prosor.
“Ambassador Prosor is an illustrious personality who has done great things for Israel and the Jewish people. May G-d bless him with great success and all his endeavors.”
