Yeshivas Bein Hazmanim in Crown Heights is back for their third year, operating out of Getzel’s Shul for bochurim of Mesivta and Zal ages.
The learning program is begining today, August 16, with a full schedule of classes on Chassidus, Gemara and other topics.
A project of the Sadya Shmuel Foundation, but organized by two bochurim, the target crowd was “bochurim who want to continue their learning while waiting for Yeshiva to begin.”
“After the rousing success it has had for the past two years,” they said they are “expecting a big turnout” this year.
They are being supported by Rabbi Zusha Wilhelm, head of the Oholei Torah Mesivta and additional rabbis.
The daily program at Getzel’s Shul (Kingston Ave. between President St. & Carroll St.):
8:30-9:30 Chassidus (Danishes for early comers)
10:00 Shacharis in 770
11:00 Delicious Breakfast
11:30-1:00 Learning (Chavrusa, optional shiurim)
1:00 General Shiur on fascinating topics
1:30-2:30 Learning (Chavrusa, optional shiurim)
start in la i will be the first one there
maybe if they start 930 more boys would come bec its like waking up for school really early i think that an idea
its a gr8 thing for the boys bec they r not presseured to learn not having tests in school they are directly learning for test though over here its a gr8 thing they r leaening for nothing but them selves
Bein hazmanim refers to ‘vacation’ time between one learning zman and the next. That it also refers to the time between a 9 week vacation ‘zman’ and yeshiva zman is new to me.
Kol hakavod, keep up the good work!!!
