He wrote my tefillin 20+ years ago

 Rabbi Avrohom Dovid Wolffe wrote my tefillin over 20 years ago, I’ve had them checked many times by multiple different sofrim, all have had the same reaction “WOW that is the nicest Ksav I have ever seen”
He also used quality ink and klaf that are still beautiful 20+ years later

The author writes that computer checking doesn’t show touching or broken letters, missing crowns or spacing issues. However all of today’s modern versions show these things very reliably, and often the computer will pick up on these things when missed by the examiner. This does not mean that one can rely solely on the computer. There are certain things the computer cannot rule on, such as the intricacies of the letter formations (tzuras haos). I had a similar experience twice, 2 different reliable stores for tashmishei kedusha.
I bought a computer checked new sefer torah. Within the first couple of weeks, we discovered mistakes! One time its was a wrong word, another time it was missing a whole line at the bottom of an omud! I was flabbergasted! How could these mistakes pass the computer check? So after double checking with the computer printout, it was clear, the sofer didnt finish correcting what the computer had highlighted.

My guess is, that there are those thinking “why is another article being posted about this when just a week or 2 ago a very similar article was posted?”
But the hard truth is, that in todays day of STAM, there can never be enough warnings. What this סופר wrote is correct. As a סופר, I can say that there are never enough precautions that we can take when buying Stam. Thank you to the writer!
