The 12 year-old boy was walking out of the Mikvah on Friday at around 9:00 AM when he was hit by a car and severely injured.
He was taken to Kings County Hospital, and from there he was taken to NYU Hospital for surgery, with fractures from head to hip.

UPDATE (Friday 4:36 PM):
A family member told COLlive that the boy is in stable condition.
“He just had surgery on his shoulder and is going for a cat scan now. He is awake,” the person said.
I think we should make a volunteer crossing guard system here, at least for a few hours a day. It is the ADULTS who need to respect the signals, and it is a MITZVA to guard human life.
