Preparations for the International Kinus Hashluchim of 5772 are well underway. As part of the Vaad Hakinus’s bid to enhance the experience for the thousands of Shluchim who will participate, an innovative idea was unanimously approved by the committee.
Imagine a Shliach travelling eagerly awaiting the Kinus for an entire year, travelling thousands of miles, making it to the banquet…and being stuck in a distant corner of the banquet hall.
Not anymore.
A circular, revolving podium will be placed at the very center of the ballroom, ensuring every guest will witness the proceedings up close.
“The Kinus is not merely a gathering of a collective group,” says Rabbi Daniel Moscowitz of the Vaad. “It is the coming together of individuals, each of whom is an integral part of the Rebbe’s mission. It is vital that each and every one appreciate their role in this tremendous event.”
So the 3 out of the 4 sides will have the back of the speaker for a long time.
So what’s better the face from far or the back from close?
[I know they will supplement with screens ,but good luck to the video crews who have to keep moving with the slow revolving]
good luck with all the angles. (no pun intended)
the kinus every year is an amazing event!
and some how every year they have a new twist!!!!!!
to all those who think they’ll get dizzy, it will proaly move slowly. and also the speaker will be so in to it, i dont think he’ll notice.
like the resemblance of the four corners!!!!
can’t wait to watch it live and see Lord Sacks on the REVOLVING stage!!!!!!!!!!!
Great idea. If I were sitting on table T22 I would still feel far from the podium, but hey that’s life
be careful about the ones that are speaking… they may lose their focus because the stage is moving…
great analogy
So the stage will circulate Yomoh Vokeidmo Tzafonah V’negboh!
How appropriate!
Will they at least offer shluchim a chance to get a ride on the stage at some point? I mean, even if for 10 seconds? What, is it fair for us to just sit and watch as the guys on the stage get to go round and round having all the fun?
wow amazing idea
good job
I hope those on stage don’t get too dizzy. How fast will it go?
You’re the best
Always something now! The Kinus is an event full of life and energy, the apple of Chabad’s eye!
