Bais Shmuel-Chabad Congregation, a pioneering Shul in Crown Heights, has begun clearing out the property which will be the location of a new community center to be built on Union Street.
The Shul, which is renowned for its warm community, innovative programming, and for providing an open and inviting place to visit for all those who arrive from around the world, closed on the property on Yud Alef Nissan 5781.
Crews began clearing out and preparing the prime space at Union Street and Albany Avenue on Wednesday.
The center is planned to house a welcoming new Shul, social hall, and housing for the community.
