To mark the start of another year of HOO – ‘Helping Our Own’ volunteer program and to inspire the students of Bais Rivkah High School, Mrs. Chaya Sima Freidman spoke at the student assembly about the impact and importance of chessed.
Students also got to listen to a concert performed by the talented Moussia Mendelssohn and hear her speak about the value of being there for one another. Lastly, HOO keychains and KIND bars were distributed to all of the students in attendance to spread the word about HOO and encourage students to “be KIND.”
To celebrate the first week of HOO volunteering, gift bags filled with markers and an activity book of project ideas were distributed to HOO families.
We are proud and grateful for our volunteers’ continuous hard work and are looking forward to another successful year!
Thank you, Mr. And Mrs. Levi Eckhaus and Mr. And Mrs. Dovi Sperlin for sponsoring the welcome event.
