Covid has taught us a lot of things. One of them is to think out of the box. As the questions about production kept coming in to the staff of Bais Rivkah High School about the fate of this year’s beloved and anticipated annual song and dance production, it was determined that all options will be explored.
And so, a plan was conceived, to present a new concept called “Musical Sets.”
“The school will be divided into 10 sets, each running like its own separate mini ‘production,’ explains Mrs. Sarah Blau, director.
Each set will be featuring another Jewish woman in history. Each of the selected women covers another time period and have fascinating, largely uncommon stories. The sets will be filmed, compiled and streamed in an online event after Shavuos, bez”H.
The show is being produced by Malka Aizenbach and co-produced by Chaya Mushka Baumgarten and Chavie Sued.
With smaller groups and 12th-grade leaders, many girls will be able to contribute and make this an unforgettable project.
“Tryouts are coming up shortly, and the school is buzzing with excitement,” says Mrs. Sarah Blau, director.
Will this include grade 6? They have been anticipating being part of production for many years— can you include them?
