Message from Bais Rivkah in Crown Heights:
By the Grace of the One Above and with the blessings of the Rebbe Beth Rivkah has reached their goal and beyond. The campaign united 2,174 (gematria: 3 x Beis Rivkah (3 x 719 = 2157) + Tov (17) donors from all time-zones, a true symbol of achdus, to help strengthen the educational flagship for Chabad girls and young women the world over. This monumental collective achievement stands as a testament to the commitment and investment of the community in the future of our children.
Since its founding, 78 years ago, Beth Rivkah has valiantly and faithfully operated by its principle and commitment that no child slip through the system. Funds generated by the campaign will be used to continue to help even more families deal with the strain of tuition, ensure timely teacher pay, and improve management, communication and financial efficiency. New initiatives that were started last year, have seen remarkable growth; the success of this campaign acts as a litmus test that further proves the success of these endeavors.
“Education for girls has always been top priority for the Rebbe. He saw the Jewish woman as the foundation of the past, present and future of Am Yisrael, and Jewish children as its guarantors,” shared Program Coordinator, Rabbi Yossi Baumgarten. “Today’s display of Achdus among Chassidim for a cause so dear to the Rebbe’s heart showed in a very special way that our school and our community are, thank G-d, healthy.”
The Board extends its gratitude to all those who did Whatever It Takes and made the campaign a success; especially the Matchers, the principals, the PTA, the alumni across the globe, the Charidy team, and most importantly – the students, without whom none of this would have been possible.
We’d like to thank all the grades pre-1A through 12 for taking an active part in this amazing challenge and accomplishment. A special shout-out to the students of grades 9 and 12, the two winners in the competition, who were focused, organized, and motivated all throughout the nail-biting campaign. They were true examples of what Yogaati Umotzosi Taamin looks like when put into practice. Kol Hakavod!
A special thank-you goes to our amazing sponsors of the call center: COLlive.com, Bouef and Bun, Zappy by Zeesy, Sushi Spot, Buncho Bagels, Sweet Expressions, Gombo’s, Wholesome Bagels, Table One Catering.
Dear Reader: Next time you visit any one of them, please let them know that you know about and appreciate what they did for us all.
We had an amazing broadcast that was displayed on COLlive.com and on Charidy.com/br. Thank you, Chony Milecki, for hosting the show, Rivky Pearl @crownheightsmom for co-hosting, interviewing and running the show. Mendel Deutch was once again amazing on the piano, providing exquisite music as he does for weddings and events across the country. Thank you, Shmuly Hurwitz, for singing with such passion and giving such energy to the campaign followers. The Beis Rivkah Shluchos were amazing with their guidance and behind-the-scenes prep for the broadcast as well as the campaign in general.
We’d like to thank our Matchers for allowing the campaign to succeed, quadrupling all donations in order to reach and surpass the $1.5M goal, at a resounding total of $1,551,833!
