In its third year, Bais Chana High School is continuing to make its mark as a leading moisad chinuch for today’s Lubavitch girls.
Founded by Mrs. Rochel Flikshtein, a Shlucha to Delaware, the goal of Bais Chana is to give our daughters an advanced level of Chassidishe education that’s relevant and applicable to their daily lives. As principal, Mrs. Flikshtein is committed to making this goal a reality.
With tremendous Siyata Dishmaya, the Rebbe’s brachos, a dedicated honhola, and an outstanding staff, Bais Chana has quickly become a nurturing, safe, dedicated and personalized high school.
The dynamic, evidence based curriculum and schedule were built from the ground up, intentionally designed to cater to the needs and growth of the students. It is built on the foundation of ‘Chanoch l’naar al pi darko’ ׳חנוך לנער על פי דרכו׳ . With different levels and text based vs concept based classes in many subjects, Bais Chana accommodates each girl. Bais Chana teachers genuinely care for the students, and the girls feel their teacher’s belief in them to succeed.
Rabbi Avner Anton, the Academic Director at BCHS, compiles and oversees the four year map of the curriculum. This includes block scheduling, life skills classes and electives, all in addition to the core Kodesh and general subjects.
And the greatest treasure of Bais Chana? The students of course! Each girl plays a unique and starring role in Bais Chana’s sisterhood of friendship, inclusion, and growth!
Parents, teachers, and students alike have so much to share about Bais Chana.
“I’m sure I’m not the only one who notices how BCHS goes above and beyond to nurture our daughters spiritually, academically, and b’gashmius. In the months my daughter has been at BCHS, I’ve seen so many ways that they prioritize what’s best for the girls…” says parent Mrs. Rivka Fishman from Houston, TX.
Malki Gutnick, a teacher from Melbourne, Australia— shares that at Bais Chana the students “learn to deal with life from a Chassidus lens. They get what no other High School offers!”
“This school has been a home away from home for me for 3 years and really impacted my life! I can’t even tell you how incredible this school is!” shares 12th grader Mina Raymond from Kingston, PA.
“Till I joined Bais Chana, I was sisterless. Now I’ve got so many sisters,” says 11th grader Essie Strasberg from Philadelphia, PA.
11th grader Elka Soble from Brooklyn, NY shares that Bais Chana is, “a school that transforms young lives through intentional yiddishkeit and personal growth.”
Have any of you stopped daydreaming in the middle of a boring class, or in the middle of a stressful test, to think, ‘I wish there was a good high school somewhere where they are there for YOU – the student, and not for the grade? Well, believe it or not, it exists. Bais Chana is there to support the students as individual people to reach their full potential, not as numbers.
