Avrohom Yosef Lieblich, a Holocaust survivor and father of a Chabad family, passed away on Thursday, 12 Teves, 5779.
He was 95.
In the beginning of the Holocaust, after his older brother who had just gotten married was taken to the concentration camp, Avraham Yosef managed to convince the guard to let him switch places with his brother, and he went to the camp in his place.
He survived, and emigrated to the United States and raised a large Jewish family.
He lived in Canarsie, Flatbush and in his final days he moved to Crown Heights.
He is survived by his children, Meir Lieblich – New Jersey, Asher Lieblich – Crown Heights, and Shmuel Lieblich – Crown Heights, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Shiva will be at 821 Montgomery Street until Thursday morning.

Mr. Leiblich was a special man. As we lose the last of the Holocaust survivors lets pledge never to forget. Mr. Leiblich left a beautiful family of erliche grandchildren and great-granchildren, What a zechus.
