Superstar Chassidic singer Avraham Fried starred in a warm evening of support for Bais Rivkah School in Crown Heights on Sunday.
The evening began with a Gala Dinner for supporters of the school, during which the Board of Bais Rivkah, led by Chairman Rabbi Avrohom Shemtov was thanked for their dedication to the flagship school for girls which raises the next generation of Chabad women leaders.
The MC for the evening was Rabbi Asher Jacobson, Rabbi at The Chevra Synagogue in Montreal, Canada, who seamlessly led the evening with humor and words of inspiration.
The second half of the evening featured a concert with Avraham Fried, as well as Boruch Sholom Blesofsky and Mendi J.
Fried was at his best, singing for his own hometown of Crown Heights, and took many song requests from the crowd, some of which he sang together with his fans who were invited up on stage.
The warm atmosphere was felt as the donations continued to pour in in support of the school which has been the mainstay of the Chabad educational system for girls for the past 80 years, until the announcement that the goal of $3 million was reached, which great joy.
