Machon Chana Hakhel Boutique Auction
It’s a Chazaka!
Motzei Shabbos, January 16 at 8:00 p.m. in Lubavitcher Yeshiva, Machon Chana is holding a Hakhel Boutique Auction Melave Malka for women. This three-in-one event is expected to be an evening of entertainment and inspiration as well as a vital fundraiser for Machon Chana.
Held in the days between Rebbetzin Chana’s birthday and Yud Shevat, the evening will celebrate the birthday of the namesake of the school, Rebbetzin Chana and serve as a preparation for Yud Shevat.
Machon Chana alumna Mrs. Timmy Rubin, Melbourne’s mikva lady and Australia’s only Jewish female prison chaplain, will chair the evening. Her love of life, laughter and motivational story are legendary.
A musical interlude by current Machon Chana will entertain the audience.
Guest speaker for the evening is Mrs. Chevie Lipskier. Mrs. Lipskier’s talk on Emunah and Bitachon – faith and trust that we are “in Good Hands” – will empower her listeners.
Refreshments, including an array of hot soups to warm up even the coldest night, are part of the $18 admission. The admission fee also includes a complimentary $18 ticket that can go toward any of the twelve prizes in the Boutique Auction, including the Grand Prize of a dollar from the Rebbe.
Rabbi Shloma Majeski, principal of Machon Chana, shared, “This Hakhel Boutique Auction comes right after a highly successful ten-day Winter Program, when young women from across the country joined together at Machon Chana during their winter break to study Torah and experience Torah-true Judaism enlivened by Chassidus. The dormitory on President Street is currently filled to capacity. For our school building at 825 Eastern Parkway we recently had to purchase dozens of additional chairs to accommodate new students in our classrooms and lunchroom.”
To purchase auction tickets visit MCAuction.org or call Miriam from 9 am-1 pm at 917-822-3873 or Bluma from 1 – 9 pm at 347-585-9119.
Machon Chana is a division of the National Committee for the Furtherance of Jewish Education (NCFJE).
Sounds like a really nice event.
