Up until recently, you probably haven’t heard much about “Atlanta, Georgia” or “Sandy Springs”, but now you’re hearing about it from your friends and neighbors all around town! You might be wondering, “Is anyone actually living there? Is there any city life and Jewish people to be found? Or is it just a bunch of corn fields?”
To answer the question briefly, Sandy Springs is a suburb of Atlanta. Atlanta itself is a rapidly growing metro hotspot that has large corporations packing their bags and relocating here from the West. It is the birthplace of Coca-Cola and home to the world’s largest aquarium and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the busiest airport in the USA. It has great weather and job opportunities and has more “affordable” housing in comparison to some larger cities such as New York, Miami or Los Angeles.
Many Chabad families from other states and Canada have moved here with their young children, joining an already thriving and diverse Jewish community. The many kosher food and Jewish school options have seen tremendous growth over the last few years and have been a driving factor for the influx of families joining the Jewish community.
Shluchim and Anash in this neighborhood are fielding questions and phone calls every day. Since we have lived in the community for several years (well over 60 years of combined experience!) and are well acquainted with the neighborhood, our team at Azure Realty (Founded by 3 Lubavitchers) thought it might be helpful to put out an informational article about the most commonly asked questions that come our way.
If you are interested in checking out the community to move here permanently, please be in touch with us so we may better assist you in answering your questions further!

Disclaimer: Houses are Expensive.
Don’t be expecting a deal or a bargain. When a home goes on the market these days, in this neighborhood, there are multiple offers within about 24-72 hours and most of the time above asking.
The values of the properties in Sandy Springs are steadily appreciating so it can be a good investment in the long term! Houses that were once purchased for 450-600k are now selling for over 1 million dollars.
