Following an exciting two weeks of Pesach festivities with shluchim Shmuel and Chana Tiechtel at the Rohr Chabad House at Arizona State University, Jewish students gathered Thursday evening to bake challah for the upcoming Shabbos.
In additional to baking lots of traditional challah loaves, two extra large challahs were baked with keys embedded within, according to the tradition of the ‘Shlissel Challah.’
Students participating included Chana D’vora Carro, Janice Laredo, Simcha Julie Sebag, and Chaim Menachem Waters. In mind while preparing these special challah were Ephraim Tzvi ben Pesha Devora and Nerio ben Miriam, both of whom are in need of a refuah shlaymah.
The shlissel Challah is known to open the gates of sustenance -in this merit and in the merit of all your Mesiras Nefesh for Shlichus may you be zoche to Gishmai Brocha. We are so proud of all that you have done for ASU jewish students. Lettie came by this Peasach and shared in her inimitable way all that you both do.
