An international artist is working on a virtual mosaic of the Lubavitcher Rebbe composed of individual photos of Chabad Shluchim.
Blending art with technology, Tal Florentin is launching the unique artwork in cooperation with COLlive.com and Hebrew site COL.org.il.
This masterpiece is based on a similar work he created three years ago – this time with updated images and interactive features.
“I wanted something that will bring across the Rebbe and what he achieved – an international network of Shluchim,” the Tel Aviv-based artist said.
“Together with COLlive, this will be an interactive experience. You will be able to search for Shluchim and find their contact information.”
“A man’s emissary – the same as himself,” as the mosaic was called, was introduced at the international Kinus HaShluchim in 2007 and sold well in Chabad communities worldwide.
Florentin is now asking Shluchim to submit their updated photos and contact information as there will only be space for 2000 headshots.
The plan is to present the final artwork at the upcoming Kinus HaShluchim on November 11-16, 2009.

Very beautiful
The new artwork will be created out of the most recent images of Shluchim nowadays, where the previous one was created out of the shluchim from the 4 books of Shluchim, updated more than 17 years ago.
How is this one going to be different from the older version?
Absalutly amazing
