A group of women from Buenos Aires, Argentina, who visited New York for a week of inspiration and touring, made a special visit to the Jewish Children’s Museum in Crown Heights.
The group of 19 women was accompanied by Shlucha Mrs. Leah Gurevitch, and the trip included a visit to the Rebbe’s Ohel, the Rebbe’s home on President street, and other locations.
During a visit to the Jewish Children’s Museum, they were introduced to Mrs. Devorah Halberstam, co-founder of the Museum, who hosted the group and spoke to them about the empowering roles of women in Judaism, and her life as a mother, activist, and community leader.
Halberstam spoke to the women about her experiences as the mother of Ari Halberstam, who was murdered by terrorists in 1994, noting that “‘Kol Yisroel Areivim zeh Lazeh,’ and what happens in one part of the world, affects others around the world – all Jews are one.”
“We are all mothers, and Ari is every Jewish child,” Halberstam said. “We all have to take the initiative and do good in this world,” she said.
“The group was very moved and inspired by Ari’s story and his connection to the Rebbe, the building of the Museum in his memory, and the work that I continue to do in the community and for the Jewish people,” Halberstam related.

So beautiful and inspiring!
