President of Argentina Javier Milei, currently visiting Israel, presented Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with a special painting of the PM together with the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
Netanyahu shared with the Argentine President what the Rebbe told him when he served as Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, before returning to Israel: “‘You will be serving in a house of lies,’ the Rebbe told me,” Netanyahu said. “‘And you will have to battle against 119,’ the Rebbe told me. We have 120 members in the Knesset – he didn’t even leave me one,” Netanyahu laughed.

Milei also met with Israeli President Isaac Herzog who made it a point to quote the Rebbe in his official remarks.
“The great Rebbe of Lubavitch said that the small actions that we do on a daily basis they turn two people from being ‘you and me’ to being ‘us’,” he said.
President Milei began his visit to Israel with a prayer at the Western Wall on Monday night.
Immediately upon landing in Israel, President Milei arrived at the Western Wall for prayer as part of his second state visit to Israel since taking office. As in his previous visit, the president chose to begin his official visit to Israel at the Western Wall – the spiritual heart of the Jewish people.
Accompanying the president was a senior Argentine delegation, including Foreign Minister Mr. Gerardo Werthein, Presidential Secretary Ms. Karina Milei, Argentina’s Ambassador to Israel Rabbi Shimon Axel Wahnish, and his wife.
The president was welcomed by the Rabbi of the Western Wall and Holy Sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, and the Director of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation, Mr. Mordechai (Suli) Eliav. They both praised the president for his steadfast support of the Jewish people and the State of Israel and expressed deep appreciation for the strong ties he maintains with the Jewish people and Israel.
During the visit, the president was visibly moved. Together with the rabbi, he recited a chapter of Psalms and offered a special prayer for the return of the hostages to their families.
As in his previous visit, the president is expected to return to the Western Wall at the conclusion of his visit – on Thursday evening – to end his official trip to Israel, in the presence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
At the conclusion of the visit, the president recited a personal prayer and wrote in the visitors’ book: “Freedom for Zion.”
