Common sense is to take it
Why play Russian roulette with your life? There is no way to predict who the plague will hit, how it will affect the person nor the long range affects of it. To those who question the rapidity of the vaccine release – thank G-d that He allowed the usual delays in medical cures be waived.
I would wait 3 0r so months to assess the effect of the initial vaccination program.
Further, companies like Johnson and Johnson and Zeneca are going to be offering a one shot vaccine in the very near future.

Until now it has been mostly the older population, which has been vaccinated. Kfar Chabad has a much larger young population than old, which is why not as many people have been vaccinated there. Also, don’t know where you got your numbers from, but Kfar Chabad has about 6,500-7,000 people, so the real number is about 10% having been vaccinated.
I’m not against vaccines in general. What worries me is how fast these vaccines were rolled out. It normally takes years to get approval, so this seems very abrupt

As a preschool teacher, I was offered the option to take the vaccine. As of now I am not taking it. Before I do so, I would need to get direction from my trusted medical professional. I need to know whether he recommends that a young woman who had covid already should be taking it now. Someone I know , In Crown Heights. She already HAD and recovered from Covid!! Got the vaccine and got super sick within hours. “but these side effects were expected” – What is this brain washing? Hi there as someone who works in an emergency room I took the vaccine even after having covid as I would like to get as much immunity as possible.
When I was sick from covid I was in bed for around a month. I was sick from the vaccine too but definitely would take it again being sick for one or two days is nothing compared to what I see on a daily basis

Dr zelenko and other doctors are not encouraging it. My doctor in crown hts discourages it. He says it has not been tested enough. Also in israel many got bad reactions from the 1st dose and 2 deaths. With 2 million having gotten the 1st dose there are still over 9,000 new cases with 7,6% of those tested infected. I want to know how long immunity lasts from this vaccine. Right now we have no idea. Will people need to get re-vaccinated every six months? I would like to have some data on autoimmune conditions that may arise from it. Will the body turn on its own proteins that may be similar enough to the spike protein and cause autoimmune disorders? The only reason someone of low risk would take a new vaccine, that we don’t know it’s safety, would be to protect others who are higher risk. But if all the vaccine does is prevent a person from being sick, but doesn’t stop transmission (as was announced that they “don’t know” if one can transmit the virus after a vaccine), why would anyone who has a 99.99% survival rate, take a vaccine which at best will make them sick for a few days (not including all the other possible side effects). To add, though, if I was a community doctor or other community figure, I would urge others to take it. From a public health perspective, it’s a no-brainer, even if it was only 25% effective.
For an individual, it is more nuanced – especially if it does not prevent transmission.
As many have discussed , let’s examine the risk/benefit ratio of this particular vaccine… on the one hand, we have determined (even among the most optimistic reports,) some severe reactions…. even in the course of the few short weeks since it’s been “rolled out”(and that’s not even taking into consideration, that the first vaccine is weaker than the follow-up one , and the effects may be cumulative and/or become more evident over time)…. I had the virus back in March/April then I had a relapse in July so Ive had it twice and I believe I should have the best protection so I dont need to take the vaccine. . When the vast majority of people survive especially now since we know more about the virus and there are treatments and therapies available, I dont see that why people have to get vaccinated. The PCR test that was used to detect coronavirus was set at a 40-cycle threshold of amplification/replication as per the FDA’s recommendation.
