A 19-year-old soldier was killed, and a 47-year-old rabbi and father of 12 was critically wounded on Sunday morning at the Ariel Junction in Samaria, Israel, by a Palestinian terrorist who fled to a neighboring Arab village.
The first attack occurred at the Ariel Junction.
Many security forces were dispatched to the site, as well as Magen David Adom paramedics, who treated the wounded.
A short time later, the attacker apparently struck again at the Gitai Avisar Junction, a few miles west of the entrance to Ariel.
Three people were wounded in the attacks. One of the victims later died of his injuries.
Staff Sgt. Gal Keidan from Beersheva was killed by the gunman who later shot and wounded two other people, including 47-year-old Rabbi Achiad Ettinger, who is fighting for his life.
Ettinger, a father of 12, is a well-known educational figure in the national religious sector, serves as dean of the Oz V’Emunah hesder yeshiva in the Neve Sha’anan neighborhood of south Tel Aviv.
He has a wife and 12 children, who range in age from one to 20.
A directive was issued to close the gates in all localities in central Samaria as security forces hunt for the attacker.

I always wondered why satmar and neturei karta despise the Zionist entity. Now I understand why. A government bent on destroying Judaism after the holocaust is no friend of the Jews. While every month and sometimes week, Israeli jews are murdererd and the lefty Supreme Court allows Arab anti semites to run while not allowing a right wing Jew. When will the masses of Israelis wake up. A Jew living in israel is less safe than anywhere else.
What needs to be done is begin expanding settling of millions of Jews throughout judea and Samaria. Why are the israeli government building tall buildings which would cause more victims if hit by missels. You need to spread out. The biggest problem is the secular Israelis who want to copy the west. Building talll apartment buildings makes it difficult for chareidim to move in and makes shabbos and Yom tov difficult time asking so many flights.
