Concluding the school year at Oholei Torah school in Crown Heights, teachers and staff of all divisions of the school gathered for Teachers Appreciation events.
The luncheon events, which have been done annually for the past few years, are sponsored by Rabbi Shloimy and Mirele Greenwald, and include a lavish buffet spread.
The events are held to “take time to show appreciation to the mechanchim of our community, the individuals that make the school year happen through their dedication and devotion,” Rabbi Mendel Blau, the Menahel Roshi, said.
In each of the division events, principals thanked the Rebbes and Staff for their year-round dedication to their students.
Rabbi Shloimy Greenwald, community activist and sponsor of the events, spoke at each of the events. He expressed appreciation to the school as a parent and supporter. Rabbi Greenwald spoke about the importance of Hakaras Hatov, and mentioned times when the Rebbe expressed hakaras hatov to various individuals and what we learn from it.
Special thanks to Shneur Nejar for his assistance in arranging these events.
