MyLife: Chassidus Applied – Episode 19 Airs Tonight at 8PM
The Rebbe said that the mission of our generation is to go out and conquer the world with Yiddishkeit/Chassidus. With shluchim covering most of the globe, how can one fulfill this shlichus today? Is “going on shlichus” the only measure of success for a Lubavitcher, or are there other viable and respectable options that the Rebbeim encouraged?
Other topics to be addressed in Sunday’s broadcast include: How to prepare for Gimmel Tammuz? Tools for mediating conflict in a wide range of scenarios, from community arguments to family disputes. How does one daven properly? What can I do about my shul where people don’t seem to stop talking?
Tune in this Sunday night for the next episode of MyLife: Chassidus Applied, which will address these sensitive issues. This hour-long dose of insight is meant to inform, inspire and empower us by applying the teachings of Chassidus to help us face practical and emotional challenges and difficulties in our personal lives and relationships.
The topics in this Sunday’s hour-long broadcast will include:
· What defines a Lubavitcher?
· Is shlichus the only measure of success in Chabad? – Part II

MyLife: Chassidus Applied addresses questions that many people are afraid to ask and others are afraid to answer. When asked about the sensitive topics he has been addressing, Rabbi Simon Jacobson commented, “I understand that the stakes are high, but the silence and lack of clarity on matters plaguing the community can no longer go unaddressed. The stakes of not providing answers are even higher.”
The on-going series has provoked a significant reaction from the community, with thousands of people viewing each live broadcast and hundreds of questions pouring in. At the root of every question and personal challenge tackled by the series is the overarching question: Does Judaism have the answers to my personal dilemmas?
In inimitable “Jacobson-fashion”, the broadcast answers people’s questions in simple, clear language while being heavily sourced. Each episode is jam-packed with eye-opening advice from the Rebbeim, gleaned from uncovering surprising gems in their letters, sichos and maamorim that address our personal issues with disarming relevance. Simultaneously, Rabbi Jacobson is able to crystallize a concept quickly, succinctly, and poignantly for any level of listener.

Where is this? What minute?
Thank You Rabbi
Thank you for not backing down on the Rebbe’s position. Not many people can say what you did in a palatable, accepting manner.
And thank you for the weekly farbrengen. It takes talent to be able to inspire people again and again on a weekly basis.
Yasher koach, what an amazing zchus you have.
Reb Simon,
I can’t thank you enough for bringing insight and most importantly, clarity to such important and fundamental topics.
It’s like listening to a chassidush farbrangin that’s understanding and relatable.
I listen to this every week bli Neder – it gives me chizuk in my avoidas hashlichus…
Reb Simon,
Thank You So So Much for presenting the Rebbe’s view on what ALL his chassidim should be doing,
too often many “official” people present the Rebbe’s views in an apologetic and defensive manner,
whereas you’re just being mayfitz אור,
honest and straightforward.
And with such שטאלץ!!
All the Rabbeim are shepping nachas from you and are proclaiming חזק ואמץ!!
Thanks for posting
Incredible.
How each of us, no matter who you are, can actualizes total hiskashrus in the Rebbe’s shlichus.
Totally powerfull !!!!
A MUST to watch !
