In response to the rising costs associated with making a simcha, Anshei Lubavitch Shul in Crown Heights is proud to announce the launch of a complete, all-inclusive Bar Mitzvah Package, designed to offer families a beautiful celebration without financial strain.
Understanding that hosting a Bar Mitzvah can be a significant expense, the shul has partnered with trusted vendors to create a package that delivers exceptional value, convenience, and peace of mind—all at an unbeatable introductory price of $4,750.
This comprehensive package, available for events booked within the next three months, includes:
A spacious 3,200 square foot event hall – elegantly appointed and perfect for both formal and festive moments.
A fully catered four-course meal for up to 100 guests, including both adults and children.
Professional waitstaff to ensure smooth service throughout the event.
A talented photographer to capture every meaningful moment.
A dynamic one-man band providing music for three hours of joyous celebration.
The package is available for booking now, with limited slots open at the special introductory rate. Community members are encouraged to reserve early to lock in the discounted price.

This is what the Rebbe wants.
We need this in Montreal.
The Bar mitzvahs here are a fortune
excellent idea. Lets get this done for weddings as well. Help save us from ourselves.
Beautiful!
Thank you!
We all struggle paying for wedding this will be the best idea
Looks and tastes so much better than the other caterers.
Nice effort, but still way too expensive. Nearly 5G is for the ‘introductory’ price, for the bare bones plan. Who has 5G just laying around, and that’s for one child only?
We need a whole paradigm shift: many years ago, a small inexpensive Shabbos kiddush in shul would have done the job. Nobody from my generation had to go to therapy because their Bar-Mitzveh celebration was considered sub-par. We understood that our (immigrant/Survivor) parents could ill-afford a fancy affair and we lived with it. People just lived within their means, with honour, respect and integrity.
we still live in times of the golus and we need to change that very much.
we need to bring MASHIACH NOW!!!
First we have to dial back the clock from $30K bar mitzvah parties. Hopefully these 100 person simchas will be the new normal. Families are spending 5K to send the kid to camp for the summer so to them it’s a relief. The bigger question is how many people are really needed for a proper celebration. One hundred seems reasonable but many people obviously feel compelled to invite more.
Umm when u have big families u don’t have a choice to not invite them. Talking just immediate 🙂
That is about the cost of a lunch of a slice of pizza and soda (and maybe a shared order of fries): an incredible deal for a bar mitzvah that includes waitstaff, tablecloths, and live music!
So if you need for the barmy to cost even less, cook the food yourself and have a smaller gathering in a shul basement.
I guess this beautiful and amazing offer is meant to please everyone, EVEN THOSE THAT LIKE TO FIND FAULT WITH EVERYTHING!
Do your math…
I think your math is a little off.
Its $50 per attendee. 100×5 would be $500
The girls usually have a Bas Mitzvah with almost exclusively only their friends and some very close female family members. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander! Why can’t we do the same for the boys?? I don’t see any girls falling apart from having a more scaled-down and appropriate simcha.
Assuredly, many adults would be so relieved to not have to attend yet another (Bar Mitzvah) simcha. It’s time that we re-adjust. And let’s get the affluent members of our community to lead the way, so that the rest of the community won’t feel like shleppers.
Stop worrying about what the wealthy people do and let’s retire the words “shlepper” and “nebach” from our vocabulary.
It’s time we reclaimed our own pride and dignity and had the courage to set the tone ourselves with a beautiful, hartzig, chassidishe celebration.
My Zeide felt the same way.
Deep in Russia running from the NKVD a bar mitzvah was….
A jar of herring a plate of kichlach and a btl of vodka.
There you go my friend. 100$ (in today’s cost ) we are done and beautiful. Much Nachas from your Bar Mitzvah Bochur !!!!
5k is still a lot for big families- it can be an anonymous sliding scale with annual fundraising to pay the difference
please say thank you and be grateful for what they’re offering. bar mitzvahs these days can cost 20k without packages, and packages are much more. this response is so ungrateful!
Respectfully, funds need not be raised to facilitate parties and other unnecessary expenses that only perpetuate the financially ruinous lifestyles. Spend within your means. A boy becomes bar mitzvah whether they have a “party” or not.
Nobody is stopping you for creating such an organization!
Now I bet you’ll have 100 excuses…
Just fundraise more
From who exactly ? The same people that are complaining about the pricing?
B”H
It might be too much for some but workers, waiters and clean up crew still have to be paid.
We need another place like the bris house.
What kashrus supervision does this have?
is this available for shabbos / yom tov?
would the shul be ready for use immediately after shabbos?
Unfortunately these days everything is expensive and almost 5 k for a full bar mitzvah is very reasonable. Shluchim who run Chabad houses know how much food and help costs. Everything costs more these days. Thank you anshei for making an affordable place in ch for people to do it.
To those who are saying it’s not enough at least have hakoras hatov that someone did something to help
Thank you anshei, Thank you Yitzi Silver and co for helping this come to reality!!!
I used the package deal when my son turned bar mitzvah almost 11 years ago. It was wonderful! Highly recommend it
We can’t solve everything, but we’re here to help bring down the cost of invitations for both weddings and Bar Mitzvahs. You can use code HERETOHELP30 for 30% off.
Thank you to all those who made this happen! I hope others will learn and do the same for other simchas as well.
I was there in a bar mitzva a few months ago and was just perfect!!!! Amazing food , awesome music and great environment, highly highly recommend
Thank you very much for this great initiative.
Please do lechaims next.
Unfortunately the most basic lechaim cost that amount, especially if you leave out of town and you have nobody to help you organize anything more reasonable
And than theres the wedding expense right after that and than a sheva brochos,on and on . For some, just making a kiddush is expensive. Some are barely managing shabbos evey week. What are our values that every single thing has to be upscale ? Yes a mitzvah should be made beautiful according to ones means. There are ways to make a party table look nice. I’d like to have the guts to go to a dollar tree and set up the simcha with disposable inexpensive decor to start off with….
Unless you want your son feeling different from other kids
Be happy with what we have
This is a good start
You are getting good food and service
Lubavitcher Yeshiva has them for years

Someone mentioned that they wish they had the guts to go to a dollar store. No one even remembers what you put on the table other than the hosts who have to deal with money. With my blessings, go to the dollar store. As long as it looks pretty and the food is good, everyone is happy.
Only simchas be”H
