“More often than not Shluchim need to step back, be reinvigorated and get re-inspired,” Shliach Rabbi Michel Gurkov sums up the motivation behind the full-day Shluchim seminar with Rabbi Manis Friedman held Monday at the spacious Chabad of Monmouth County headquarters in Manalapan, NJ.
For 15 uninterrupted hours, 35 Shluchim from the tri-state area enjoyed a non-stop marathon of learning, Fabrenging and “getting re-inspired.”
Arranged by Rabbi Zalman Friedman of “It’s Good to Know,” the seminar was graciously hosted by Chabad of Western Monmouth County and its director Rabbi Boruch Chazanow.
“To put on such a program just to enlighten us…it’s so refreshing,” wrote Rabbi Avi Richler of Chabad of Gloucester County, NJ. “Rabbi Manis Friedman’s interaction with the Shluchim is invaluable, and having someone of that caliber doing such a tremendous service is an amazing way to inspire Shluchim and keep them grounded.”
Rabbi Yitzchok Moully of Chabad in Basking Ridge, NJ described the seminar as an “Oasis in time, giving us the chance to pause and think about the things that are really important.”
While some Shluchim appreciated most of the serious discussions about family life and the Chinuch of our own children, others drew inspiration from the actual learning. “It was very nice to be able to have an opportunity to learn a Maamar without distractions,” said Rabbi Levi Schapiro of Yeshiva Beis Menachem in Manalapan, NJ. “It’s getting back to old-fashioned basics and their real input into modern issues.”
Rabbi Chazanow spoke enthusiastically about the feedback he received from the attending Shluchim.
“It was a great experience! Rabbi Friedman was very inspirational, highly motivating and gave us Shluchim a chance to focus strongly on the Pnimius Hakavana of our Shlichus.”
“Many Farbrengens are…you don’t leave any more inspired than you came,” commented Rabbi Gurkov, “But Rabbi Friedman’s Farbrengen had real Toichen and that’s what I left with more than anything else. It was a real Chassidishe Farbrengen and I would have been even happier if it had gone on for many, many more hours.”
Rabbi Chazanow added, “It was very nice working with Rabbi Zalman Friedman of ‘It’s Good to Know,’ and all the Shluchim asked that it happen more often.”
If there is one in your area, it’s worth clearing the entire day for it, and benefiting from every minute!
I missed this one, but wish I can catch the next. -Shliach from PA
number ONE!
so wise, so intellectual, so chasidish,….
Keep it up Rabbi Friedman, for you have no idea how inspirational you are!
Great work, we need more of those all over..
is SOOOO inspiring!!
Dear Friends
This is Good and now we need more and for all. Please let us get together and talk to Mashpiem and start arranging these kind of things very very often for all of Klal Yisroel and for our own Brothers and sisters. If needed we should charge a minimal fee. So with Hashems help our own flesh and blood would not have to go to other places for inspiration, self-help etc. Please let’s take this seriously.
Shluchim learning together, Davening together, farbrenging together – THIs is a kinus!
Exceptional!
Thank you Rabbi Friedman’s for your time & Rabbi Chazanov for the space.
I’m sure there’ll be twice as many shluchim next time! they all need this!
May der Oibershter bless you with many more years of koach and good health to continue to inspire and teach and be a dugma chayo for generations of Shluchim. May you see similar nachas from your children and grandchildren ka”h and k”y, and all together be mkabel pnei moshiach tzidkeinu.
And there is no mention of a sponsor (unless “host” includes sponsorship), but a tremendous yasher koach to whoever made this possible.
Maybe someone can do the same for different groups if Shluchim, especially us small town folks.
from detroit, see you at the wedding..
Wow this looks amazing!
Thank you Zalman for arranging it. Lets have one on the west coast.

I cannot describe how amazing the feeling was both during and after the program. Shluchim of all different calibers and positions, campus, chabad house, youth etc. but everyone with the same ultimate etzem- Shluchim of the rebbe, and we all got such a shot of oxygen from this one of a kind program with a one of a kind mashpia. Thank you rabbis friedman for this amazing experience.
thank you Rabbi F and thank you to the amazing shluchim of WMC NJ
Very nice but… If they didn’t scream, cry, curse and shout “iMatter” at the top of their lungs while shoving each other into the wall – it must not have been effecitive. We know better now, the new Rebbe Simcha has paved the path and shown us the way. Special thanks to: Ohr Samayach, Landmark Education Forum, Wave Work, Emotional Clearing, The Mankind Project (AKA Formerly New Warrior) for showing Simcha the light and teaching him how to reach deep into our wallets and hearts, inspiring all the Shluchim, Mechanchim and Bochurim. We would all be lost without him. Moshiach… Read more »
Thank you to the m’arginim.
It’s sad that the Rosh Chodesh Kiskev Kinus got sidetracked and moved its focus to a grand hoopla and fancy meals.
The above is what the kinus is all about.
Whoever organized this… A bracha oif dein kepele. Let’s keep these things moving full steam ahead!! We need more of this and iy’h will not need to ch’v stray outside of what is kosher.
We have our wellsprings – handed down by the past seven amazing rebbes – vas darf men krichen vi men toir nisht.
So c’mon shluchim we are counting on you…. Keep the good stuff flowing.. Moshiach is also counting on you.
